

On-street parking charges in Brighton are due to rise by up to 300pc on July 17.

The move comes less than two months after Labour wrested control of the council from the Greens, who ran a minority administration since 2020 until earlier this year and presided over a string of increases in the cost of parking in the city for visitors and permit-holding residents.
